Living room dilemmas
Comments (6)Hi. The room looks really good. Karndean is a good choice with dogs, I think they do a blonde'ish oak with some grey tones in. I would stick with the layout you have but with changes. The sofa that is closest to the chimney breast at a rightangle I'd push back towards the ŵall and centre between the windows. Push the one next to it back a little and add a side table with a tall lamp in between, Where the other sofa is I'd swap for 2 chairs with a small round lamp table in between and push them back a little. Agree with jonathan re the chesterfields. I think the tv is a little too high. I'd add 3 shelves in the top 1/3 of the alcove. Lower the tv so the bottom shelf is just above it and add a trunk beneath. I'd paint the shelves and alcove a darker grey with a brown undertone. Perhaps art over the tv, something a little bold, to draw attention away from the tv. You can add a lot of colours to this as an accent but I would go for dusky pink with mole/greige etc and a linen colour with maybe ŵarm metallics to lift it.The leather doesn't don't look to be exactly the look you're going for but it can be achieved with elegant lighting, mirror, good faux flowers, luxurious fabric, curtains/roman blinds etc...See MoreSummerhill Villas - living room - before and after
