Need help for height measurement of kitchen cabinets.
Comments (9)Starter molding is a flat piece of wood that is usually 3 or 6" high and you can mount other moldings to the face of. Like Sequins, I'd suggest you work with a professional. It's our job to come in, take measurements, and give you drawings of what you're looking for. You may find that with such high ceilings, your wall cabinets end up looking too heavy or the kitchen costing thousands more than you were expecting. You would also need to consider how you're going to reach them. One solution would be installing a rolling ladder. If you decide to leave the space open above, placing lighting above them is a great alternative....See MoreNeed help for our kitchen, blue cabinets, what floor and work surface?
Comments (3)Hello Ben, There are lots of alternatives to wood. How about granite, quartz or conglomerate marble? Conglomerate marble is more durable than standard marble, which is great for kitchens to reduce any possible staining or scratches. Granite and quartz are both very durable, non-porous materials and popular choices for kitchen worktops, too. Not to mention all three materials will last you a life time. We have hundreds of samples of these materials, but please feel free to explore your colour options by looking at the samples on our website here: http://www.diespeker.co.uk/materials/ (simply expand the tabs). If you're looking for a light worktop we'd recommend: quartz QU011 and QU078 and conglomerate marble CG028 and CG025. Good luck!...See MoreNeed help for my kitchen
Comments (7)If you want a more integrated country look, have your kitchen professionally spray painted in a pale grey or white after rehanging the wall units so that they are all level. Replace the light pelmet to something plainer. The worktop around the sink has gone quite dark from the constant presence of water. Consider having all the tops replaced with oak to coordinate with your floor. Wood knobs or pewter handles will complete the cabinetry. Remove the tiles and replace with patchwork tiles to give you more colour. Make sure you pick up the cabinet colour and the floor colour in the tiles. http://www.toppstiles.co.uk/tprod44324/batik-patchwork-blue-tile.html Paint the remaining walls with a pale colour to keep the room light....See Moreneed help to choose kitchen wall colour
Comments (20)I would choose something very close to that deep red/rust/plum (can't quite work out what it is) in the granite. It looks as if that colour is also in the tea towel on the right (hanging on the handle in front of the oven). Everything else is so light I think the room would take it well and it would give it wow factor. You need a warm colour, as someone else has said, to tone with the cream of the cabinets and the granite....See MoreBrandi Nash Hicks
