First, we love the lights from Curiousa and Curiousa (above), and have used them successfully over dining spaces several times. You have to be absolutely certain of your dining table position before fixing your lighting positions, same with the downlights. Make sure the latter are adjustable to give you some leeway. Another look is to have a single hanging light over the table but cross lit with direction downlight at the same time. Gives real sparkle.

The Pooky website had loads of lovely lights. Wow! I also received some suggestions on another thread. I trawled through lots of websites today! I combined some ideas into a collage. Any thoughts? The dark pewter pendant is what I'm trying to co-ordinate with (I love the matt grey finish and its shape), whilst not losing the light airy feeling of the new living area with it's pitched roof, and large windows/doors. Hence why I thought about a glass pendant. But using glass pendants was just an idea. I'm open to other ideas. I also wondered if I should look at some "Hamptons style lights"? I like a timeless, calm, look.

Hi we would consider the table size as this is the object you are lighting and framing and not the clock when setting out, we would recommend diving the pendant positions based on the centre of the light and the edge of the table: half equal, equal, half equal. I agree with the other comment that 3 would look better but if you would prefer 2, stick to these dimensions, so the first pendant would be positioned 60cm from the edge then 120cm to the next pendant then 60cm to the table edge.
