This house was a Victorian villa built circa 1850 in the 'conservation' area. The question was how to do something classical which reflected the Victorian history yet which felt contemporary enough against the glass and metal of the new buildings and viewed on three sides. We united the space using a historical design but specified the finish and detailing in a contemporary way with bold colourful planting.
