RHS Chelsea 2012 - Artisan Garden - Silver Medal

The APCO garden was sponsored by APCO Worldwide and used water as a metaphor for communication. It drew inspiration from the Greek philosophers who located their academies in gardens and how this in turn inspired Italian gardens.

This garden showed that no matter how small your garden space even grand Italian principles of garden design can be applied.

Our Artisan Garden uses water as a metaphor for communication. In a raised reflective pool, three pencil thin trees - clipped Thuja occidentalis 'smaradg' - seem to float on water and a cascade of water flows to a lower pool. Design by Ruth Willmott.
