This home was designed very much with the family in mind. With two young children and a dog, the clients wanted it to be bright, fun and not too precious whilst also complimenting the heritage of the building. The project entailed a full refurbishment of the interior with a ground floor and basement extension and reconfiguration of many of the rooms.

Taking features typical of Arts & Crafts houses such as the panelling in the hallway and the parquet floor we gave them a modern twist by using bold colours and increasing the scale. The clients loved geometric patterns so these were incorporated in various different scales and colours throughout the house on rugs, wallpaper, cushions and blinds. The overall effect was bright, eclectic and playful, perfectly suiting their brief and lifestyle.

Bespoke joinery was a prominent feature of this project which not only enhanced the practicality of the spaces but also the style of each room. We worked with skilled joiners to design cabinetry completely tailored to the design of each room and the clients requirements.
