The home comprises 3 bedrooms with an open plan kitchen and living room and 2 bathrooms.
The building form is driven by the strong views offered from the site. The simple and efficient linear floor plan is curved in order to orientate and align the living space and master bedroom towards the dramatic vistas offered through the trees to the valley beyond.
The building is clad in reclaimed timber, recycling the old timber shed and fences that currently occupy the site, that were originally built from timber cut from the woods itself. This provides a strong connection with the past and previous site occupation. The building edges are deliberately soft and undefined, blurring the house with its landscape context, blending with the wild flower meadow clearing and the surrounding woods.
