Phase 1 of a rural garden design and build near Chester. Existing driveway island border and large border beyond in need of a total redesign. The clients' commissioned Alexandra to create and build the original sculptures. Inspired by the stunning surrounding rural scenery, Alex created the pieces of art based on the meeting of the earth with the sky . Landscaping consisted of a sunken area in the central island border with a tumbled limestone path to add an axis to the area and draw the eye to the sculptures and beautiful views beyond. A cleft post and rail fence with custom made gates marked the boundary to the fields beyond and soft Prairie style planting with swathes of grasses and hot coloured perennials filled the borders... phase 2 coming in the autumn of 2017.
