Silver Gilt award winning orchestra garden at Tatton Park 2012
A delightful and fun garden I designed at the RHS Flower Show, Tatton Park in 2012 for which I won a Silver Gilt medal. Inspired by classical music, the garden was an Italianate garden of romance and fantasy. An overgrown path led the way to a raised terrace with a wire and wood gazebo. This was covered in fragrant climbers and had backdrop of hornbeam hedging. Salvaged violins and cellos were bursting with plants and clipped box hedging was shaped like the F-sound hole found on musical instruments. Planting was soft and airy with grasses and delicate perennials in pinks, reds and purples
