The extensive use of metro tiles along the full height and width of one wall creates a strong industrial background for the rest of the design to build upon. Aged metal accents and a warm tone of dark blue on the cabinetry softens the feel of the space.

The breakfast bar was designed primarily with usage by the children in mind. Though understated and simplistic in design, the breakfast bar provides seating for three within a comfortable distance of the food prep and cooking areas.

From this angle the open play layout becomes evident. Flowing freely from living into dining and then kitchen, this large space has a fluid vibe that transitions easily between spaces.

The corner pantry in this kitchen provides ample space for the family's dried goods. A combination of shelves, drawers and spice racks ensure there is adequate storage facilities for each and every product.

The striking glazed dresser with tongue and groove panelling along the back is the perfect place to store crockery and glassware. The contrast between the stark white crockery and the deep blue cabinetry draws the eye and creates a strong visual statement.

A nod to traditional design and manufacture, the antique brass finish on the tap softens the industrial feel of the room, enhanced by aged metal accents throughout the room which include handles and hinges.

Positioning the boiling water tap over a font as opposed to a sink or prep sink makes is a less obtrusive feature in the room and takes up less worktop space.
