Having completed the utility / boot room in this home last year we were very excited to be back working on the kitchen. This cottage comes with all the quirks you would expect. Low ceilings, nooks, uneven walls, poor insulation and so on. Working with the rooms inherent features have kept the charm of this space. When designing this space we worked to highlight existing feature such as the timber lintel, remaining exposed brick and utilising the nooks. Introducing such a large island into the space has provided a wonderful centre piece and relocating the sink to the window bay has increased space in a high traffic area.
We do love a challenge and such elegant results make it all worthwhile.
