This small, unorganised and under utilised kitchen always seemed to be cluttered, leaving Julie & John unable to find space to work in. As keen cooks this was very problematic.

During the design process we decided to block in an unnecessary doorway and swap the peninsular and radiator positioning. This enabled us to gain a cleaner flow of worktop whilst leaving a good sized walkway in to the kitchen. This has also improved the flow of the furniture in the rest of the open plan living space too.

As keen cooks it was important to maximise storage for all of the pots, utensils, spices, jars etc that never seemed to have a home before and increasing usable workspace for both John and Julie to use at the same time. In such a compact space they were not sure this would be achievable.
