Getting close, I like this door, but would have a single fixed sidelight on the L side (from inside looking out). Transom above door and sidelight would have 3 glass panels aligning with 3 panels in the door, and the sidelight. Narrow Frame and narrow mullion. Measurements finished opening are 106x 54” simple streamlined black lever door handle, with double sided deadbolt. Door to pivot instead of hinge.
This would work reversed, having the sidelight on the L side, no transom above door and sidelight, clear glass, not frosted. Because this is a w facing door at the rear of my home outside of Tucson AZ, insulated glass, low e, with argon would be a good idea. Don’t care for the long cabinet style handle, something understated for a handle would be better for my Santa Fe style home.
This may be some of the sloppiest work I’ve looked at, but what happened on the outside of the staircase as pertains to the handrail, missing? Short run , glass not to full bottom step, hence handrail, staircase going down only 1 side handrail. Code calls for 1 handrail on each side for staircases wide enough to accommodate more than 1 person side by side.
Close to what I want, except I want the glass up off the deck by 6 inches, and a double top rail both of wood, lower handrail attaching to glass, the upper rail spaced 6 inches higher. Both rails are rectangular with metal 2x2 mounting the lower of the rails, the upper is continuous held attached to the upright by a inverted u that is inset into the upper rail and attached to rail upright with one screw on each side. The upright rail butts directly to the upper rail tightly.
Looks like rectangular tube on I beam, with tack on handrail and glass . Nothing special on the support framing, but nice look. I’d like my tubing to be capped at corners, welded versus bolt together. Looks like an erector kit deck, could have been much nicer if railing concealed, or done with a weld on tab on outside versus thru bolted.
I like the deck rails, but want a top rail, and glass to go below deck surface on sides, ends up as in photo nice for water run off etc.
Would have looked better if rim was built from U channel or rectangular tube, instead of I beam. Deck rail looks messy too!
The glass doors I want, just not this wide!
Nice look on deck railing, expensive looking!
Would love to see the steelwork in this, similar to the idea for the deck at Piping Rock, very big span on the cantilevered corners. Look like they are floating...
I like the lighting in the rail posts as well as on the steps!
Incredible way to handle a steep hill behind the house.
Goregous, I like the sandstone, but probably go w light weight concrete,Coolcrete. Combination.
About 6 ft wider, and 10 feet longer than I’m thinking, but love the look, need to be careful w width and length, that it not look like gangplank!
This is the handrail w glass I want, ditch the fire place, and change decking, but I like the look!
Railing close, but think glass looks better, like textured concrete, coolcrete.
Similar to what thinking for PipingRock, except longer cantilever, ditch cover, this looks slick, want more texture in decking.
Here we go, could add vertical hand rail, but love the glass, ditch the wood decking, go to light weight concrete, coolcrete, w ridges, light color
Add to our Piping Rock deck, probably ditch the poured concrete seating, would extend season!
Really close to my idea, ditch the handrail, replace w glass, I like the ridges look in the decking, but may feel wonky on bare feet, coolcrete could be trawled like this, and a light color added to improve interest.
Similar to our planned deck, but much wider, I want a peninsula.
Very close to my original idea, except want concrete w cool deck instead of wood, don’t want table, just seating with end tables.
These are the type of doors for our new deck entrance, probably not black, try to closer match with existing window color.
I’d like to think about think about this idea for Piping Rock, but about 12 ft wide. Run across entire back, deck with light weight concrete and coolcrete.
Really close to my thoughts on a cantilever deck.
I love the drama, as well as the modern look, the suspension look is very interesting. Very close to what I have in mind.
This deck is obviously framed in metal, may e more dramatic for us to leave the metal natural, allow rust., the glass is great.
Great look, similar to sitting on a boat, again the glass adds to the drama, bringing to the interest.
Again, the glass and the decking, this looks to be cantilevered up high over the water, would love seeing what is supporting the deck.
The glass adds to this deck, along with the grey decking, need something that won’t be hot.
Great idea for our pergola
I like, except for the Asian part just doesn’t work for me, too contrived, unconnected.
Love the contemporary built in unit, the room is Very interesting, colors, balance , Love the tile on wall!!
Lot going on in this room, but nothing fighting, great balance, and pulls on curiosity, wanting to see just beyond the pic frame. Colors work well, the detail color in wood stain on chair frames is nice.
Like the contemporary look rework of wall built in unit
Very nice clean informal look! Would work well at Piping Rock
Would be pretty on Piping Rock, reverse sides of walk w short wall above rocks tie into wall at gate.
The wall and gates are great
I really like the gates, they could work very well as gates for the new house, would also incorporate them into the wall surrounding the extra lot .
Reminds me of our first home
Great look, for Linda and Ray, a bit on stark look, would look better with texture from current fireplace, perhaps simple lighted shelves too?
Another fresh look for Linda and Rays FR, very clean contemporary look
An adaptation of this could really freshen up the FR of Linda and Rays house, use a stain color to match her kitchen cabinets?
The wall is an eye magnet, did this w our CO mountain home, made a big difference from inside, the illusion of more height above landscape from inside looking out!
Great hid the road job, could use a bit mor3foliage on the fence, a flowering vine?
Very inviting, looks like a Dalmatian dog would fit in in the fore ground.
Very contemporary sliding gates, would be interesting to have them off the ground a bit??
Great balance herewith the landscaping working with the home, Really nice look!
Love the overall look, but someone needs to spend some time polishing and sealing that hand rail, looks rusty, detracts from the overall look.
