This kitchen renovation features custom rift white oak cabinetry and painted cabinetry in Benjamin Moore Narragansett Green HC-157. The slab cabinet doors and drawers with concealed pulls creates a clean minimalist look with beautiful horizontal tile. This kitchen uses an interesting mixture of metal finishes including a custom copper hood and back splash with other black accents. Seating was maximized with the use of a custom wood banquette. The use of specialty inserts such as a pot and pan pullout, peg drawers for dishes, cutlery divider, oil and spice pullouts ensure that everything has its proper place and maximized functional storage.

The Corner Cabinet

Frank and Carolyn were looking to remodel their deck house kitchen in their little slice of heaven in Framingham. Carolyn wanted to freshen up the area with lighter cabinets, flooring, and paint. She loves nature and their home is situated on a beautifully, private, wooded lot. The kitchen which runs almost the entire back of the home overlooks the treetops. Carolyn envisioned a kitchen that blended with her deck home and looked like it belonged in her natural setting. The cabinets are KraftMaid Vantage Lyndale Evercore in Dove White paint and the counters Caesarstone Coastal Grey. Kitchen was originally an tiny mess of an 80's remodel that didn't leave any room for food prep and was dark and cramped with a soffited dropped ceiling with florescent lights. Opening it up gave the owner a much larger and airy space. The huge peninsula has a concealed doggie gate that pulls out from the center and connects at the wall where the stair tread extends.

The wall cabinets are not IKEA. They’re Kraftmaid. This is where IKD’s kitchen design knowledge comes into play. Jennifer had planned to use IKEA wall cabinets, but there was one snag. Her only option for that corner cabinet near the sink was the IKEA corner wall cabinet. And Jennifer didn’t want that. It’s understandable.
