“The staff at Ohashi Design Studio helped me design my kitchen/living space. I wanted to open up our galley kitchen to be able to see our incredible view from the kitchen. They came up with a design I never imagined could work so well. Rather than just remove a wall, they moved the kitchen, changed it to a more functional shape and not only opened up the view, but made the living space feel like we were outside. I have been especially impressed with their level of service. They listened to my dreams and goals and turned it into a reality beyond what I'd hoped for. They were available anytime I needed guidance during construction and made sure the project was built down to the finest details. They helped me find a contractor and oversaw the bidding process. They helped pick out all the materials and finishes, even the paint color. I can't say enough about their level of expertise and professionalism. I worked with Dave and Alan.”

“Tiffany is an exception architect. Her impeccable design sense, phenomenal attention to detail, and her ability to work magic with contractors and craftsmen is impressive. If you want a strong creative visionary with unmatched executional ability, Tiffany is the right architect. Very strong modern sensibility and has the capacity to lead projects across the architectural spectrum — she can do massive renovations and ground up work, to lighting and interior design, to landscape design. Highly recommended.”

“I highly recommend Rebecca Schnier Architecture. Rebecca has done several projects for us, including a 1000sf upper level addition, kitchen and bathroom remodels. The first project was in 2001 and the last one in 2012. She does beautiful design work that is very functional. She asks questions to be sure she understands her clients needs and taste. She offers design options and always has her clients best interests in mind. She is very creative and resourceful in her use of space. She is a pleasure to work with and delivers beautiful results.”

“Maurice Levitch of Levitch Associates was a pleasure and delight to work with. We appreciated his thoughtful guidance, attention to detail, superb craftsmanship, and his sense of humor. Maurice was supported by a great team of courteous, hardworking professionals, both in the office, and on site. He completed a total transformation of the facade of our house, for which we have received numerous compliments. We highly recommend him to any of those seeking a trustworthy, skilled and professional architect, and will certainly choose him for any future work on our house.”

“Impluvium listened to my spiritual desires to create a contemporary space that made guests feel instantly welcome while providing function for everyday life. I described a desire that my home subliminally feel like a space where East meets West. Many visitors comment on how "happy", comfortable, and Zen like my home is. Mission accomplished thanks to Tim Haley! The project involved an extensive remodel of my 3 bedroom/2 bath townhouse inclusive of footprint expansions (addition of ~75 sq. ft.), relocation of all plumbing and electrical, removal of demising wall, new windows, doors and skylights, and creative solutions designed to maximize space. In particular, Impluvium not only designed an aesthetically beautiful ceiling in the great room, but it also provides layers of light for multiple uses at all times of the day and night, functionally it is a chase which delivers the in-home sound system and HVAC system, and it masks the new structural beam required when the demising wall was removed. The accuracy and completeness of Impluvium's design and architectural drawings were instrumental in expediting HOA approvals and permits.”

“Claire was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her design was tasteful and accommodating, and she worked extremely well with my wife and I to come up with the best bathroom solution for our master bedroom. I would work again with Claire without hesitation, and I highly recommend her to anybody looking for a great architect.”

“When we met Rob Kelly, we were in a heap of trouble. We set out to do a very extensive remodel on our house, but hired a really bad architect, who we had to fire. Rob came by as a favor, just to give us a second opinion. We hired him on the spot to replace our prior guy. We liked him from the first time he set foot in our house, because he understood immediately what we love about our house and did his best throughout to maintain those charms. A year later, we are moved back into our house and I cannot possibly explain how important Rob was to the project. He helped us imagine the project, nail it down on the plans, delivered us into the arms of a great contractor (Ethan Allen) and stepped back in during construction when we needed design help or just hand-holding. He was always available, easy to work with, and understands that a remodel is more than just wood and nails -- it's about a home, and often involves large amounts of money. And that means that a great architect is able not only to give solid and creative advice about what to do, but is also able to nudge and poke and stand by your side as you go through the process. If you are thinking about construction, from big to small, I strongly recommend that you call Rob Kelly.”

“We worked with Alexandra for a rebuild of our home, upgrading it from a 3bd/1.5 bath to a 4bd/3.5bath while adding a second floor and changing the layout of the house dramatically. We chose Alexandra based on two critical expectations: that she would be good to work with (after all, you spend countless hours with your architect on a very expensive project), and that she would share our philosophy regarding the importance of combining form and function in house design. We were very lucky to have chosen her. Alexandra indeed spent countless hours with us. She paid careful attention to our wishes and needs. She worked patiently through every detail of the house, helping us maximize not only our living space but also important functional aspects of the house. From beautifully located and proportioned stairs to storage for kids backpacks under an entryway bench and built-in cabinets to roof segments and their slopes, everything was thoughtful, detailed, and practical. Alexandra also showed great professional and personal skill in navigating the permitting process, developing a good relationship with the city’s planning department that allowed us to enjoy all the benefits of the zoning code. She was always ready to help and mediate successfully when issues inevitably came up with our contractor. She followed through with everything she said she would in an even, friendly, and professional manner. We are delighted with our home and, truth be told, also take joy in the many compliments we get from anybody who visits our home or even passes by it. Alexandra was wonderful and we can’t recommend her highly enough.”

“Wow! We can't really say enough about how great Matt was to work with. We came to him after already having some pretty solid ideas, but he did a fantastic job of walking the line between respecting what we had already decided and adding some suggestions that might work better. After being frustrated with a lack of response from contractors, painters, tilers, and others involved in a remodel, it was so refreshing to find Matt and his promptness in replying to our emails. Having gotten used to having to wait a few days to hear from others, it was so great to hear back from Matt within a few hours. Matt was extremely helpful with linking us up with engineers and other subcontractors, including working with the city regarding permits and passing along some discounts that he was able to get for certain supplies. We have already recommended him to a few other friends and would not hesitate to do so again in the future.”
