They have been great partners in working to prepare a unique scheme that reflected our vision, while also bearing in mind our budget. Their practical and creative approach throughout the planning, approval, tender, specification and project management phases has been measured and considered, reflecting their extensive experience in their field of both architecture and construction. “3bd's unconventional roof design saved us £000's in construction costs and created a much larger room than we could have expected with traditional building techniques. Our builders had no problems understanding the drawings and as a result everything went smoothly Professional, approachable and exceeded my expectations - Would definitely recommend.”

“We hired Ed after a personal recommendation to redesign our Edwardian cottage in the New Forest - not a straightforward job as the property is within a National Park, Conservation Area and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Ed designed the extensions to fit in with the existing building, remodelled the floor plans, ran the planning application and then put the drawings together for Building regulations and the builder. We couldn't be happier with the results - Ed really maximised the space by suggesting a side/rear extension, loft conversion and remodelling the inside space. We now have a house that flows with the space we needed - an extra bedroom, extra WC and a large open plan kitchen/diner leading out to the garden. Ed made so many great suggestions, including vaulting the ceiling in the kitchen which really improves the space and light. The planning application was on time and without problem. Highly recommended.”

“Martin took our run-down, dark and damp, turn of the century house and transformed it into a light and contemporary home. He struck the perfect balance between modern and traditional and made the whole house so much more usable and practical. He maximised the south-facing aspect with a new kitchen-diner with lots of light and made the garden feel part of the house. He transformed a pokey roof space with higher ceilings, light tubes and velux windows. Without the 'before' photos, it's difficult to believe that such a transformation could be possible. Martin designed and managed the entire project and successfully mediated between us and the main contractors when we didn't see eye to eye. We definitely won't shop around for an architect when we undertake our next project, we'll just talk to Martin.”
