“Our grade two listed 400 year old cottage is situated in as sensitive conservation area. There were many challenges, not least, ensuring our neighbours were happy with the end result. David's expertise in all aspects is outstanding. The planning officer considered the finished product to be one of the best and most harmonious relationships and our parish council, believes our cottage to be the showcase of the village. The brief was to be sympathetic to the age and area, but contemporary and fundamentally our home. David took our brief and enhanced -by discussion- virtually every aspect of the design and build. This was a big, complex project lasting nine months. Four years on, we wouldn't change any detail. We would be delighted to speak or indeeed show our beautiful cottage to any prospective client. Additionally, David is a delight to work with and a major part of the success was due to David's calm, diligent and professional manner throughout.”

“Dane was recommended to me through a mutual friend. Very approachable, friendly and willing to help. He arranged a site visit, listened to our ideas then went away to put it all together on paper including 3D illustrations which gave a excellent realistic vision of what we were aiming to achieve. With his vast knowledge, he gave us alternative ideas to which we decided to go with the option of a full height vaulted ceiling allowing for larger skylight on stairwell creating much more bright open space. Dane also supplied us full construction drawings, dealt with building control and any queries they had right up to the start of the build. He has also been on hand with any questions we’ve had during the build. He was very prompt will all the plans throughout and fees are reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Dane, very professional and competent.”

I have found them to provide aesthetically pleasing but also economically practical drawings which have gone on to become successful finished projects. “Excellent professional service and beautiful plans created by Karl for a bungalow conversion into a house. Karl has great vision and has worked with me every step of the way to create exactly what I need from a home and gave great thought and attention to detail. Every question answered as I was new to all of the requirements needed for my renovation plans. Thanks to Karl's friendly and knowledgeable service, everything has run very smoothly, even the planning application stage through the Lake District Planning Board. Works are due to start soon and Karl has made sure everything needed is in place. I would highly recommend Karl Fox for any architectural needs.”
