“Our grade two listed 400 year old cottage is situated in as sensitive conservation area. There were many challenges, not least, ensuring our neighbours were happy with the end result. David's expertise in all aspects is outstanding. The planning officer considered the finished product to be one of the best and most harmonious relationships and our parish council, believes our cottage to be the showcase of the village. The brief was to be sympathetic to the age and area, but contemporary and fundamentally our home. David took our brief and enhanced -by discussion- virtually every aspect of the design and build. This was a big, complex project lasting nine months. Four years on, we wouldn't change any detail. We would be delighted to speak or indeeed show our beautiful cottage to any prospective client. Additionally, David is a delight to work with and a major part of the success was due to David's calm, diligent and professional manner throughout.”

“The job that my wife and I engaged Hawkes Edwards to do was something of a challenge, it was an extension/conversion of a grade 2 listed Georgian townhouse,which also happened to be in a conservation area in Stratford-on-Avon to be precise. Trevor and his team were excellent through all stages of our project, the consent and planning approval were seamless which relieved us of any potential stress. It was a pleasure to work with Trevor and his team and we can honestly say what they did totally transformed the house, merging the former Georgian glory with a 21st century home and thus creating one of Stratford's finest houses. Both my wife and I were delighted with the outcome as i'm sure Trevor was. Many Thanks David and Bridget Hunt.”

“Sally Wetherell was initially recommended to us by a well respected local builder. He said that she was meticulous, creative, efficient and great to work with. We certainly found all this and more to be true. We live in a Victorian Gothic Rectory and wanted the extension we dreamed of. Sally exuded a genuine empathy and confidence for our project. Any changes or concerns we had were dealt with swiftly and with a depth of understanding that made the whole process a pleasure. She was always approachable and reliable. We greatly appreciated how transparent and upfront she was with her costings: A Schedule of Fee’s was drawn up and itemised in stages so there were no hidden costs or surprises. Planning Permission was a genuine concern but Sally knew how to deal with potentially tricky issues and got our plans through with ease. We have future plans for further development of the Rectory and without hesitation will be asking Sally for her professional help and guidance.”
