“Currently engaged with Studio Prime in support of a design/build project here in the city of San Luis Obispo. I couldn't ask for a more knowledgeable and professional group to work with, but importantly, they also have a sense of humor (especially John). They are helping my wife and I design (and eventually build) a 3,000 sf custom home on an, um, "interesting" hilly site that is presenting some challenges. However, these guys know their stuff, and are deftly navigating us around those challenges. Strongly recommend these guys!”

“I am a mother of three youngs boys and my husband and I work full-time. We purchased our home in Westlake Village approximately 11 years ago. Neither of us had the time or talent to take on the remodel work our home needed. We hired Carol.. What a blessing. We told her we had a classic-cormfortable lifestyle and loved to entertain. We also told her when options were available to limit us to three as we had a difficult time making a decision. “Tim is great. He handled our room addition which just about doubled the size of our house. He took care of the architecture design, the structural analysis, the survey, and probably more that I don't know about. He helped push the plans through the City, helped work things out with the contractor, and addressed any issues that came up promptly and effectively. The end product is amazing and we get lots of great comments from passersby. A pleasure to work with, and we'll definitely hit him up for our next project.”

“I interviewed a number of architects and talked to a couple of references before selecting David Ferrin and Arketype Architects for my rather different project, that of building a two story home on top of an existing stone warehouse, providing three floors plus roof-deck in a tight urban setting. Before I selected him, I was impressed with his "can-do" attitude and examples of some of his thinking outside-the-box. The design work I saw was classy and much of it different. His use of materials tends towards the green but when price becomes an issue, he will demur or come up with an alternative. David is quietly spoken and his demeanor is thoughtful, low-key and confident. The project is still 12 months away from completion (I'm writing this in May 2015 ) so it isn't possible to give you final comment but to this point I have been VERY happy with his work. He is quick to effect changes and is very thorough with his plans, attention to detail (according to several other architects and planners) being well above what is normally produced. I swear this attention to detail is what allowed our plans to get through to permitting in so few hearings.”
