“Alex was really helpful in getting my ground floor kitchen extension from idea to reality. He gave lots of ideas and was receptive to what I wanted and to alter plans to suit my needs. He communicated well with my builders and really pushed for the highest finish, which I really appreciated. Alex also helped send ideas for different materials, windows and doors: who knew there was so much choice! Im so happy with the end result, it has transformed my house.”

“Working with Emily and Joe at Coal was so easy and enjoyable. Extremely approachable, accommodating, and helpful (as we live 300 miles away!)...they are full of fresh ideas and creativity. “I have worked with Doina, collaborating on the architectural side, and will confirm she delivered innovative solutions to suit each project individually, remodelling or extending with great attention to detail, envisaging the final result and defining the integrated interior design, improving flow and connectivity, rationalising and reducing circulation spaces. Doina was always involved with the detailed specifications, sourcing materials and custom products, liaising with other consultants so as to optimise the design. Always listening to the client’s wishes, vision and desires. Doina would advise on the best strategy in obtaining planning and building permissions, mostly within the historic / conservation context, and always maximised the potential whilst preserving the authenticity. In my experience Doina always delivered on time and on budget.”
