“We decided to select XS Interiors after reading all the fantastic reviews on their website. We were looking for a complete makeover of our lounge after many years of struggling with the house in respect of colour schemes, furniture, pictures, accessories and many disasters on the way! Lorraine and Carlo visited our house and we had an in-depth session on how to transform a rather dark and underwhelming room. Lorraine was very keen to understand our challenges with the lounge and our likes and dislikes, and proceeded to provide her thoughts on the vision of how the lounge could look. The first thing that became very apparent was the enthusiasm and passion Lorraine has in her work. Her thought process and vision became very clear on how the lounge could be maximised to show its real potential. The second area that jumped out is how in sync Loraine and Carlo work together, supporting each other and building the idea as well as the vision on how this room could really be a hub for the whole family. Loraine then invited us to her showroom and took us through the ‘storyboard’ which detailed the colours, wallpaper, paint, furniture, accessories, artwork, mirrors and lighting. Loraine had also set up a room to show us the suggested vision of our room and so we were able to see many of the pieces ‘in the flesh’ and we were blown away with the items that had been selected. One of the biggest issues we had with the room was the seating arrangement. The lounge has two doors and so this caused issues with positioning the sofas and we were keen to have an L shaped sofa but the wall length was causing issues. Loraine contacted her wide base of international suppliers and managed to source the perfect sofa with the right length and style. We were happy to go with everything that had been selected and we were even more shocked at how reasonably priced the room cost. Loraine suggested that we left them to it on the day of the ‘big reveal’ and when we returned we could not believe the transformation and fantastic job that Loraine and the team had delivered. It was very emotional as we knew we could not have achieved this look on our own, and for the first time, we really felt at home in our house. For me, the best way to sum up the impact Loraine has had is twofold. Firstly, my husband is not into this sort of thing at all and was not keen on going down this route of engaging with a designer but agreed to do it. He has been so blown away with Loraine and her team that we are just about to engage Loraine for another project within the house. Secondly, we have two grown up children and they never sit with us, always in their bedrooms. Since the room has been transformed, they sit in the room all the time now as they love the cosiness and how welcoming the room is and we feel much more of a family now. Who would have thought that a room could bring a family closer! The whole project has been a joy and I would highly recommend Loraine and the team.”

Jo was able to take my magnolia new build canvas, my vague ideas and proposed use for each room, to create some truly beautiful interior designs which have included; flooring, wall coverings, electrical fixtures and fittings, bespoke cabinetry, soft furnishings, custom furniture and decorative accessories. The designs are coherent, and flow effortlessly from one room to the next. I frequently work away from home, which has meant that Jo has been flexible to accommodate my schedule. We have made design and budget decisions via email, over the phone and have had the work carried out by her experienced team whilst I’ve been away. It is a joy to return home to find Jo and her team have worked their magic on my home. Any issues or snags are managed promptly and professionally. As a repeat client, the process is now effortless, with Jo typically arriving to our first meeting with design ideas that are rooted in my tastes and budget but always has something new for me to consider.
