“I hired Kirsten Pike Design, upon recommendation by the concierge at The Harrison, to completely design and furnish my 30th story apartment overlooking San Francisco as well as San Francisco Bay. Kirsten was involved with every single, minute detail of the design and execution of her incredible vision for my home. She has a perfect balance between being a collaborator and yet be completely in charge…taking all stress away from the property owner. Earlier than mid project, I gave her carte blanche. She knew what I wanted and I trusted her know how 100%: Impeccable taste and finesse...Brilliant even. What a talent! Early in the project, I moved in. I travel a lot and we arranged for her to do the work when I was gone. Everything is now a cohesive whole so the living spaces, kitchen and bathrooms flow together. Amongst so many things, she designed a stunning wall of decorative plaster and a bar that is as lovely as it is practical. My space is a jewel box where nothing is left to coincide. Also every delivery was overseen and the small practicalities that a homeowner doesn't want to deal with before, during and after a remodel. When I wasn't pleased with my high end flower delivery service, Kirsten did it personally and once again blew my away. I am just sad that when I come home from my travels there isn’t a new “surprise” waiting for me, as the apartment is perfect! I think any discerning person with high expectations will be very happy with Kirsten Pike Design.”

“We worked with John in 2004 and again in 2017. I say we, but it's really me, John, and Caroline because my husband says he trusts John's direction and advice completely and will love anything John and I do. Over the course of the projects John, and now Caroline on the more recent project, have worked with us on a combination of remodeling and new construction on our existing house, removing an old addition and expanding the house on two levels including a family room, guest bath and master suite. And most recently rebuilding of our garage and addition of a guest house/studio. John was truly my anchor throughout this work from start to finish. He added invaluable ideas in the architectural and construction phases to make the spaces more inviting, functional, and aesthetically consistent. At times I had very strong ideas of design elements I wanted to use and at other times I was completely at a loss. John was right there with me in both situations and all of them in between to make my ideas possible (and even improve upon them). And when I had no ideas, John appeared with suggestions and solutions for me to consider that he and Caroline sourced to work within the various natural constraints of the project, including budget. The moments, and there were many, when we put our ideas together, as well those times when he had the perfect idea to transform what I had thought of as a problem into an opportunity were some of the best and most fun parts of the process. John is an excellent listener, problem-solver, project manager, and has impeccable taste. Our house reflects my sensibilities, vision, and style, all enhanced and pulled together by John in ways that are greater than the sum of the parts. He has worked with a wide array of tradespeople and design sources and brought that knowledge and those connections right when we needed them. And he was a collaborative team member working with our architects and contractor. Caroline is a delight and always made sure we were getting what we ordered and worked to make sure every detail was in place. They have a sense of perspective, style, and joy they bring to their work and I look forward to the next time I get to work with them.”

“It was a great pleasure to work with Kimball. She carefully listened to what I wanted my place to look and feel like and listened to my ideas of how to bring that about. She had lots more great ideas, but wasn't pushy and did a great job of bringing together both style and my quirks! I have a few unique items from my past that I didn't think matched with much else, but Kimball integrated them beautifully with my new pieces. She knew lots of places for furniture and other items that I had never even heard of. She also knew lots of contractors ( who proved quite skillful), and kept me abreast of what was going on both schedule-wise and budgetwise. I would not hesitate to work with her again”
