“Elen designed a plan for a small plot that was effective at utilizing the existing plants, giving a simple and elegant finish to a previously haphazard garden. in addition, the planting plan she provided solved the problem of a very difficult water logged clay soil. She is full of knowledge and methodical in her approach.”

“I hired WH to landscape our garden, which involved removing grass and relaying new lawn, extending flower beds. planting new trees and shrubs; and to modify the front area of the house to create more parking space. WH proved to be very reliable, always advising me ahead of time in case of schedule issue; they work with extra care to minimise the inconvenience and the results are better than expected when I decided the project. I will use them again.”

“We have employed the services of Luke from Roeder Landscapes over the past two years in planting up new beds, a small orchard and for lawn maintenance We are very happy with the results. His designs took full consideration of our ideas and built on these with further options taking into account soil conditions and aspect. Great attention was paid to bed preparation prior to planting which ensured the best growing conditions. Work was carried out efficiently with the minimum of fuss. He is now in the process of planting a wild flower meadow for us.”

“We commissioned Special Gardens to design and manage our project in the South of France. From the first evaluation of the site, Sally interpreted our requirements with a full and sympathetic analysis of what we hoped to achieve. This was then tempered by Sally's absolute knowledge and understanding of the region and it's climate. Her recommendations for planting was outstanding and reflected both our personal style and the practicalities of the the garden. We were astonished to be presented with beautiful hand drawn plans at the end of the project. Sally has created a low maintenance, contemporary garden which flourishes even in the most adverse of conditions and she consistently worked with us to ensure our vision was accurately delivered. Sally took control of the project by sourcing the plants and managing the builders and landscapers. The net result was a hassle free experience . “Rory re-designed our garden three years ago. I found his advice most informed and professional. More to the point he was able to take my somewhat vague ideas and transform them into exactly what I was looking for! All with great charm and grace. He has since come to see us to check how the garden grows and add to the planting scheme. Always full of good advice. I would highly recommend Rory if you are looking for someone who is creative and can translate your dream into a reality. He has a very good knowledge of plants and what will work plus some excellent ideas for landscaping and making the most of your garden. “My wife and I were looking for a Landscape Designer/Architect who could make imaginative suggestions for extensive hard landscaping, as well as planting, etc. Having already interviewed numerous other firms (who evidently oversold their services on their web-sites and did not seem sure at all of designing hard landscapes) James was professional and installed confidence that he would interpret our brief with his own ideas. We commissioned the design stage of the works, and after receiving a preliminary design, we had a couple of meetings to develop the design, and now we have a superb masterplan for our gardens, paved/planter areas, planting plan and budget costings, which is exactly what we wanted. We are going to phase the works and have an accurate final costing from Designscape (and await a price from another to compare costs.).”
