Comments (11)I am a tiler and I used all kind of tiles and mosaics. Best advice ,as your corner shower will be around 800/800mm ,get porcelain tiles . In London,European Heritage sells porcelain with carrara marble print (white and greish veins gloss shiny finish or other color options) at 795/795mm. That would mean about 3 tiles per wall. around 240 the whole set of tiles with only 2 horizontal grout lines. For best results, use Mapei grout(you can find it even at B&Q nowdays. Add black matt finish taps and mixers and you have a relaxing colour mix....See MoreNeed bathroom inspirations for compact bathroom
Comments (10)Hi. I'm a bit confused, have you bought the vanity and are looking to paint it? Is the rest of the bathroom fitted as you could add brass or copper taps for instance with a matching mirror? Accessories will also warm it. I like a little wooden stool in a bathroom which you can add accessories to i.e. A candle, natural sponge, flannel etc which has some texture. A plant on the window sill if you have one and then nice accessories for the sink and either some coloured towels or I like hammam ones. I've found a couple of pics but they may not post as houzz has issues :( These are using deep rich colours which may bring the cabinet towards you a little. A darker top for the vanity would also work...See MoreNeed your help with this bathroom! Project come to grinding halt!
Comments (15)I am not sure the loo has to be on the outside wall - it could be anywhere, you just have to box in the large pipe that will run from it to the outside wall. I know it's irritating when people say start again but the room seems a bit bitty and if the basin and loo were in a run of units, separated by small cupboards, with a continuous surface along the top of the whole run, it would look really rather sleek. And the pipe could run under the units, hidden by it - that's what I've done in my bathroom. Stick a mirror above the units, covering the whole wall from surface to ceiling, and side to side, and it will make the room seem much bigger. Are you having a towel radiator in there? That will add some character if you have towels that complement the colours you choose. Then add some interesting bits and pieces to make it seem less utilitarian....See MoreFitting a new shower in existing bathroom
Comments (5)I think you could change the shower enclosure and tray quite easily. Grouting can also be spruced up by scrubbing with bleach and a small brush/toothbrush. Leave it for a few minutes and then scrub and rinse. Tile shops are full of beige/brown tiles so I’m sure you could find similar in case any get broken. If you want a good choice of showers go to either a bathroom specialist or a plumbers merchant (no showrooms but huge range!). I’ve never used bushboard but it looks good. They’re like big sheets of waterproof boards to line the shower with. Yes a full refurb is expensive. Mine cost £6000 all in, phew! This is bushboard and it comes in several shades....See MoreCasa flor
