Is privacy an issue?, if so opt for plantation shutters where light can still stream in, they look fantastic from the outside too. If privacy isn't an issue, I'd suggest Roman blinds in a beautiful fabric. Romans are a great way of creating a high end look on a limited budget as you don't need a lot of fabric so can opt for a statement fabric. Choose fabric first, lick out a neutral an tailor paint around that. The furniture looks ill fitting, consider a neutral leather with amazing cushions. Lighting is always an issue, and your accent lighting needs to enhance the rooms best side. Lighting these days doesn't need to be expensive to add beautiful statements to a room, look out for filament bulbs, they are amazing, and very cost effective!....See MoreNeed help choosing curtain colour
Comments (3)Hi There, I would perhaps use this lovely pastel pink, looks really nice with light greys and because its pastel would go with the lemon colour on the wall covering. You could then add scatter cushions in either lemon, pink or light grey....See MoreRedecorating bedroom with fitted wardrobes - help!

You are right not to use F&B, it's an inferior paint compared to dulux, and not correct for your purposes, being Eggshell finish. Dulux Trade Satinwood is far better, gives a better finish and is hardwearing. ( It's also more expensive than F&B i'm afraid, but you get what you pay for ). I'd paint the cupboards in a pale grey and replace the knobs. Give the area behind the bed a good dark grey finish, to help with making your choice of headboard really stand out. Comments (8)Hi Suzie, could you perhaps do something a bit out of the box and choose something that is a splash of colour? Like a found object? Chinese ceramic stools? you can also go to vintage fairs etc. Or some companies source and stock interesting pieces. This is one : http://www.retrouvius.com/stock/storage I think more grey would be dull, more black would indeed make the room feel too small. I quite like the idea of timber for your chest of drawers etc. Difficult to visualise the space thought! Colour choice is pretty personal. I am partial to blues and purples.. but that is just me! Go with your gut! Good luck!...See MoreBrandi Nash Hicks
