Please could someone tell me if you can use brick slips to tile a floor? We were thinking about a reclaimed style of brick floor. I also wanted to know if you are able to use brick slips with under floor heating too? I am not sure of the exact kind of under floor heating that is being installed - part will be in a new extension and part in the original part of the house on what is currently a standard timber floor. Thanks for any help you can give.

Good evening Iveta, even we are not based on your area we would love to help find you a solution for your extension and outdoor space. There are multiple options for what you need but first of all there are a few questions to ask. 1. What are you hoping to install the tiles on externally? 2. Do you need a grip finish (advisable with children or if there is chance for build up on the tiles) 3. Are you looking for a 10mm internal and 20mm external tile? I think we have a 300x1200 20mm plank available to us with a 10mm internal option which isn't currently on our website. I agree with your friend that travertine will be a nightmare to keep clean - too many nooks and crannies for dirt to nestle into! I love porcelain tiles, they are tough and so easy to clean, quick hoover and a mop. I have them in a dark grey slate look a like In my kitchen. They come in so many forms from wood effect through to all the stone effect finishes. Worth going to a good tile store and have a good look around. Bring the door with you so you can colour match. i think any of the F&B beige neutrals will look good on the walls. I particularly Purbeck Stone and Skimming Stone. I’m not sure if grey is right with the cashmere doors, you need something warmer perhaps?

These were put in our house 14 years ago - started marking about 6-7 yrs ago and now just before I take them out I can mark with my finger nail. Think the quality of the black sockets are better now. Love the half wall ... and the industrial tiles that have been suggested. It’s going to look great!
