Bathroom with no windows - decoration ideas

we have a bathroom shared by 2 rooms, a kids bedroom and a 2nd guest room, its an interior room with no windows, we thought of a couple of options - keen to hear your views:
either
go 'dark' with dark blue tiles against the white bathroom suite and have starry twinkly lights in the ceiling
or
try and lightening it up, look for the lightest tiles and accessories to keep it as bright as possible....

Paint it brilliant white eggshell from Dulux trade top to bottom
Then add bright towels etc

Also perhaps 1 feature wall in a brave colour or tiled

Hello, If you are considering to change the flooring as well than I would suggest you to ignore the colour of the floor as later it may be harder to change the colour of the wall. You could go for grey, white, yellow, olive green too. Izabella StJames Design Interiors

Hi. I'm a bit confused, have you bought the vanity and are looking to paint it? Is the rest of the bathroom fitted as you could add brass or copper taps for instance with a matching mirror? Accessories will also warm it. I like a little wooden stool in a bathroom which you can add accessories to i.e. A candle, natural sponge, flannel etc which has some texture. A plant on the window sill if you have one and then nice accessories for the sink and either some coloured towels or I like hammam ones. I've found a couple of pics but they may not post as houzz has issues :( These are using deep rich colours which may bring the cabinet towards you a little. A darker top for the vanity would also work

Hi! I am moving to a new flat in a couple of weeks and the flat we’re moving to is simply beautiful ... ASIDE from the bathrooms. They are very vintage and since we’re renting we can’t make any major changes. Regardless I would like to improve the bathroom interiors a little. Maybe someone here has some inspiration for me? Was thinking of maybe using loads of plants? Any input is much appreciated!

Dark is better. When have you ever been to a brilliant white spa?

Personally I think you can overdo blue in a watery room- I prefer earth colours such as brown and red

A white spa? The poster said a bathroom and for the record I've decorated quite a few spas and they have all been brilliant white.

Leave it to the professionals.

Dark colours reduce a room size, light colours increase room size. Small room therefore light colours.

Clever lighting - ie daylight bulbs that come on in daylight hours and soft white light for evening and night time would help too - a good sparky might be able to help with this - or if budget allows consult a lighting designer ! Hope it works out beautifully which ever finish you choose !
