I want to choose curtains or blinds and a carpet

I would like to choose a color and style for curatins or blinds and a carpet .Also, I would like to put a wallpaper , so which color and style u suggest?
I have beige wall and black table

Initially, my thought would be to get different pillows for the sofa that would coordinate with the chair to bring a bit more visual activity into the room and toss in your personality. Keep the pillows and try a pillow cover, cover them yourself or simply add pillows that are more you. i.e. a hot spot of color, a print from nature, etc. Or, just leave it without pillows and add a throw.

Do you have a rug or carpet that you're currently working with? What direction do the windows look out? Do you have existing pieces of lighting, tables, chairs, etc that you'll be keeping that need to blend with the new?

Whatever you do, do not have pure silk curtains, unless you are prepared to fit a blind as well. I made the mistake of buying silk curtains from Laura Ashley five years ago and they have started to fray at the edges. I do blame myself as I knew silk was not as durable as synthetic but I fell for them and hoped by having them lined and interlined they would be ok. I was wrong, as they are in a bedroom with great views I really didn't want to fit a blind as well. I am going to have to now and have the curtains repaired, by putting an edge on them in a different colour, they were far too expensive to change for new curtains as the window is very wide and the curtains are floor length, plus, they look good in the room, apart from the fact they are fraying! To start with I might just swop the curtains over, rather than have them altered, but I am certainly having a roller blind fitted, it will have to be plain white and in use when nobody is staying, luckily the bedroom is a guest room.

I would go for romans actually, but would add one-panel voile curtains to the recess so you can let all the light through while maintain privacy. I use the tension net rod from John Lewis, it’s perfect for light weight voiles and requires no screws or nails. I don’t want to comment on the colour as this is rather personal, and I’m known to change my mind in wall colours every few months! Good luck!

Yes, lovely colour. Well done for standing your ground :) I like your bedside light in the photo. Why do you want to change it? I would be interested in suggestions you will receive for dressing of your bay window. We have a bay window in our bedroom with a very similar beam (boxed in RSJ?) in the way. We have wooden venetian blinds, which look good but we wouldn’t mind having curtains as well. Tricky with that beam.

Hello. I'm not sure if I am in right place but I just didn't find a topic about DYI windows blinds so maybe it would be useful not only for me. I and my wife after a year finally finished our home rework. Of course, there still is a lot of work to do, but at least now we can live there :huray: . The first thing that annoys us a lot is disturbing morning sun. We can't get enough sleep, because of it. So we started looking for windows blinds. So far we decided that we want roller blinds. But after long research, we find out that there is an option to get customized blinds and even create our own.
