Hi. If you Google "wooden table with metal legs" and go to "images", you will find lots. Just click on an image to find the website. Happy hunting.

Its actually from a company in Denmark called House Doctor, but I believe they supply to others in the UK! Good luck it looked fab!

I think, for really low maintenance, underlay and gravel, decking or paving are your best bet. You could then plant a few hardy shrubs in pots, which will require a little watering but not too much (flowers tend to require greater upkeep). Underlay will be essential to avoid weeds. You can still have colour by using shrubs that leaf in yellow, gold and red, as well as green and iv found lavender to be pretty hardy with low upkeep. You could also paint the wall if you wished? That leaves you with options for sitting out (you could have a permanent swing if this is likely to be often) or leaving the garden area to it's own devices. Hope this helps a little! Good luck xx

If you've re-plastered and removed the shelf from above, etc., I'd just put a plant on it, like a Philodendron. Something that can live in a dark(ish) corner. If you put a table/floor uplighter behind it that will shine up the walls and light up that corner in the evenings, I think it could be a lovely effect (this one is from (loads available, for example on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Astro-4532-Limina-Uplighter-Plaster/dp/B005LVJPH2 )

Thank you so much for your very kind comments and advice! Forzaitalia. I looked up the Fatsia Japonica and really, really like it, great it is evergreen as well. I love acers but the trouble is I worry it may look sparse in winter. I wish there was an evergreen acer! I do love geraniums and have lots at the front, just not sure they work here. As you say perhaps because they are dotted around and not in groups. Jen P thank you v much for the pics, I like the table and chairs image you have put up. I have a table and chairs and have put it on the rockery and taken a pic but am not sure it works. Maybe it is due to the white colour? Of course not sure what do in the winter with it either. I love the waterfall pics but think it could mean excavation and worried about the cost at this stage. Def something maybe for a few years time. Rachelmidlands thank you also for taking trouble to look up pics, I love the red colour of the plants contrasting with the green. I also love the pagoda. This is really inspiring. I wonder if I can try something like this. As for the water feature, I wonder what I can do with the wire as it would have to go round the width of the rockery and round to the electrical point. I also looked up ponds in containers and there are some lovely designs but again I am not sure what container would work, a wood planter, a fibreglass one... Maybe I could try two either side of the rockery? It would be great to put in a fountain to really add some interest but of course if the solar ones don't work in winter that is an issue. Tracy. You’ve been getting a lot of good advice but I just thought I’d add a few thoughts. When I look at your current set up I see a classic and oriental feeling. I think this is timeless and just needs a refresh. Your sofas are a classic design and I think that recovering them in a more neutral fabric would work. But I think your curtains are really fresh and modern and it would be good to really layer on lots of cushions to tie in with the design. See attached other fabrics from Villa Nova which complement but don’t match your existing design. Loads of these layered up on a neutral linens effect background would look great and could be changed over time. For your walls, I actually don’t think dark blue is right. It’s very on trend right now and can look great in a smaller cosy room but your room is spacious and I’d personally keep that feeling of light. I know you don’t like wallpaper but a pale ivory type paper with a subtle colour or texture could look really elegant. I actually like your mahogany style furniture. It’s the tv stand I’d change along with maybe freshening up your lampshades. Minnie’s choices look great. Alternatively, some blue and white China lamp bases would look wonderful and pick out the Asian themes in your furniture. See photos attached and good luck
