blackout curtains or blinds???
Comments (3)Hi Jessica, At Bloc Blinds we have the perfect solution to your problem! Our award winning Bloc Out blinds provide total blackout and bring an unmatched level of darkness to any room, functionality that is just not possible to achieve with any other blackout blind currently on the market. Because there is no light flare you wont need to invest in an extra curtain layer. As you are based in the city you can pop into any John Lewis store to browse our unique and award winning block out blind. You can also view our full range of BlocOut Roller Blinds on our website. Our products have been independently tested by The British Board of Agrément and are proven to reduce heat loss through the window by 43%. Our customers have also reported a reduction in external noise which is a bonus for city dwellers like you. We have a range of plain and pattern blackout fabrics to suit any window and you will find that additional curtains and shutters will be unnecessary. The blind can be fitted on the edge of the window recess or inside the recess providing a clean and stylish aesthetic in your bedroom. For further advice or support on how to install don’t hesitate to contact our team at info@blocblinds.com and we’ll be happy to help. Good Luck! Comments (8)Hi, As already suggested, full length curtains would be lovely and add to the romantic feel you're already creating with that lovely bedding. You could choose a combination of voile curtains and fully lined blackout ones to give you a flexible approach to light and privacy control. I've attached a picture of how they look layered. I think I'd probably pick one colour out and go for a plain curtain that matches that, to let your bedding do the talking! Best of luck, Zoe...See MoreSuggestions on what curtains or blinds for French doors
Comments (7)I went with Perfect Fit Venetians for my new French doors. They fit into a frame so blinds don't flap around when you open the door . There is also a handle at the base to pull up and down to reveal the glass and a switch at the top to open and close slats. I personally prefer the aluminium as they were the more hygeinic option for a kitchen and don't hold onto cooking smells. I think curtains blowing in the wind when the door is open always look as if they are escaping....See MoreCurtains or blinds on a large sliding door?
Comments (40)JC thank you again - it's actually your photos that we have saved on our wishlist so it really was a big help! New blinds sound absolutely brilliant so we're going to get in touch once the work starts and hopefully they can provide ours too. If you have any photos they would be most gratefully received, the mechanism you have to pull them all down sounds fab! I presume you've not had any problems and they're still going strong! At the risk of pushing my luck, do you have any idea of the cost of your lovely sliding doors, to have so much glass, compared to say bifold doors? We've decided we want large sliders to maximise the light, but I'm worried they will be loads more than bifolds which were in our original builder's quote, eek!! Thank you again, as you say this forum is unbelievably helpful and I'm eternally grateful to you all!!...See Morewoodjay
