do I match the house n use wood like picture or go with carpet?

Use wood and then large rugs for softness and texture, wood is classic and has better long term re sell value

I think some mirrors on your closet doors would look great and throw that gorgeous natural light around that need of the room

Have you tried magic eraser sponges. Worked a treat when my boy got wax crayon the radiators which then melted when he was little. I tried everything else including bleach, bicarb, toothpaste, mayonnaise.... the magic sponge worked tho.

Damp proof (membrane) for floorboards

Firstly check where dump comes from. No point in replacing the floorboards if then there is too much moisture. Replace all damaged floorboards and make sure joists are sound and stable. Then you can add a damp proof membrane over the pine floorboards. Then you can add the underlay and the floating hardwood flooring on top. Solid wood flooring is the worst option in areas where there is moisture. We strongly recommend quality engineered flooring instead. This is a rather complex job if done properly. The installation of the damp proof membrane is crucial obviously and to do a good job you should remove the skirting boards. damp proof membranes are available from may retailers https://www.screwfix.com/p/capital-valley-plastics-ltd-damp-proof-membrane-black-1000ga-4-x-25m/88322 and all have more or less the same specs. The DPM is indeed required to damp proof anything above the structural floor. There is nothing you can do on the structural pine board other than making sure there is no water leakage and there is good ventilation. hope this helps

So a dormer loft conversion costs the same as a side extension? It sounds like you'll be getting more space for the side extension for the same amount of money then. Have you had a look at other bungalows down your road or area that have had extensions vs no extensions and see what they have sold for, then you can see if it's worth it but who knows what the market will be like in a couple of years time. In terms of appealing to more when selling, people probably would prefer bedrooms upstairs but if bedrooms are larger and downstairs is huge it will be more attractive to buyers ( I think ) especially if there is a large family. Lots of new builds have a bedroom downstairs so it's not unusual plus families considering a bungalow won't be looking for the norm in terms of layout so 2 bedrooms downstairs is fine. You can also ask your estate agent that sold you the bungalow, get their thoughts on what is attractive to buyers, I'm sure they'll be helpful in case you'll use them in the future :-).

Don’t have dimensions but the en suite looks larger than it needs to be. I would move the wall between bedroom and en suite back a few feet then you could have wardrobe storage space along the bedroom side of the new stud wall. As building a new stud wall you could have a pocket door and I would put the bed and bedside tables as in the diagram above facing the window. In the ensuite I would make the shower as wide as possible stretching between the new stud wall and the exterior window wall and put the toilet and basin side-by-side along the window wall

If you can get the wood into the bedroom it certainly helps retain value. It then allows you to decorate using area rugs. These are easier and cheaper to update than wall-to-wall carpet.

Use the wood, no carpet in bedrooms, to much dirt and easy care. Put an area rug on top of it and your bedroom will look classy !

Go for the wood - the bedroom carpet is too light for the whole scheme - there should be a contrast between the flooring and the rest of the white.
