decorating a kitchen

any ideas on how to decorate a kitchen on a budget but give it an expensive look?

    It depends on what you want to do.
    You could add shutters and a rug for a more cozy feel.
    You could paint the cabinets- since it is a light room I would choose a deep colour but with a paler choice for wall cabinets and the back of the dresser units. Put a warm neutral on the walls and update the handles to a more modern choice.

    Try charcoal base units and chalk wall units. Jonathan is right by saying you should change the handles. I would try a cabinet catch on the dressers and cup handles on the the other units. Armac Martin are my preferred choice. www.armacmartin.co.uk
