Wall colour dilemma
Comments (7)Hi Kasjk, silvery grey is a wonderfully calm theme for a bedroom, but don't think you have to get everything to match, it really depends on what mood you want to evoke, calm and peaceful? You could create a sophisticated scheme by layering up with shades of grey, silver, white. Or you could introduce vibrant colour in small accents, a soft yellow throw or a fuschia cushion in contrasting textures. It really doesn't matter what colour you use as grey goes with everything. Get some coloured t-shirts or similar and put them against the wallpaper and see what they do for you. Have fun!...See MoreWall idea suggestions
Comments (7)This is a really great, if not a bit small, bedroom! Love the window shutters and angled ceilings. I agree with changing the white to a softer colour, Farrow & Ball do some really lovely shades, as above Green Blue is great or something like French Gray. It would look great with the white shutters too. By the way of artwork, I would suggest not to paint on the wall itself but to frame your artwork and hang on the walls, this way it's more easily changeable. I also think using white picture frames will help to keep the room light and won't look so heavy seeing as the room is rather small? Just some ideas, hope they offer some inspiration!...See MorePlease help choose wall colour for living room?
Comments (7)Well it looks like a nice bright room so I guess you have so many choices it can get overwhelming. For wallpapers I can recommend John Lewis's own especially if you don't want to spend a lot. We've just done a feature wall in a bedroom and it was good quality stuff. http://m.johnlewis.com/mt/www.johnlewis.com/browse/home-garden/wallpapers/wallpapers/view-all-wallpapers/john-lewis/_/N-d0eZ1z141il?intcmp=home_cat_wallpapers_lhn_featuredbrands_jl_180915 I guess with a new build you can go for any style. If you like the mustard yellow (I do) there are lots of papers which could tie in to it. Would probably be too much as a solid colour wall. II'm sure others will come along with some better ideas......See MoreHelp with kitchen!!!
Comments (7)Hi, I don't think the worktop or wall tiles are highly offensive. If you are limited in terms of budget, here are a few things id consider: - change the unit doors to a colour and style of your choice, a light grey or maybe a stone coloured compliment the wood effect worktop. This allows you to change the overall look of rhe kitchen without having to splash out on a new one or having to deal with the hassle of painting one. - Whilst the wall tiles really not too bad, I'm not a huge fan of the floor tiles. With kids, your kitchen does probably have high traffic, thus wearing away the paint if painted. I'd therefore consider cover the floor tiles with lino in a stone effect or wood effect. It comes very cheap and allows you to change the flooring to match everything else without causing much destruction. Lino is soft to the touch and works well in kitchens If laid properly. - lastly I'd paint the walls to freshen up the space. All the best with your project....See Morehavingfun
