Embrace the height and the light, hang colourful art and add rugs to zone areas, remote control blinds or shutters on the high window ?

Can you hang a chandiller or scuplture from the high spot ?

i wouldn't be too quick to add colour to the walls live there a while and get a feel for the space

i live in Malaysia...the house just completed by the housing developer..but look at the straight living room and the top wall i have no idea about it...but thinking about the chandelier its will consider me...tq

Hello Celia Reis, Lots to think about... It does not matter what you have but where you place it to make it work. And what is there that make the room become one (sounds very yoda ) :) How about putting the sofa by the window. The box where the sofa was. See what that looks like? The side table in between the sofa and the chair. Add some shelving to the alcoves. Re: photos There are lots of photo places that will make photos much larger for a portrait. Group pictures together on the shelf or on the side table. You do not need to space everything out. Some questions: 1.What colour are the walls ? 2.What colours do you like ? Is there a favourite material you like that can be made into a paint colour or made into some cushions. Then use the colour throughout as accents. 3. What items did you want to repurpose? What colour ? 4. Can the cabinet fit in the alcove? 5. Does the fireplace work? 6. Do you have any larger pictures, photos ? 7. Are both lamps the same size ? What are they to be the same colour ? 8. Will there be a TV in the room ? Some pics to help. Are there any elements in these pics that help? So change the placement of furniture like in the pictures. It would be great to see photos of the room but from the floorplan you have attached, would you consider possibly built in storage in the alcoves? Hello. I was studying your space, and I came up with some ideas. If you are open to them, here they are: 1.Get a brushed cotton sofa with legs at least 8cm; it gives some airiness to a room, making it look more spacious. 2.When choosing a table, allow the minimum distance between the edge of your table and a wall to be 90cm. This is for people to get in and out of their chairs comfortably. In addition, purchase armless dining chairs, which will give you a clean look for your dining space. 3.You asked what to do with a wall with a small window; I suggest having sheers and curtains across the whole wall. It will soften the place and will make a room feel larger. 4.You have little spotlights on the walls, which are excellent for creating a different mood in the evening. They can be nicely framed using decorative moulding. It will elevate your space. 5.If you like a moulding wall design, you can have picture frame moulding. You can even use wallpaper inside those frames. It is a relatively inexpensive way to luxe up your space. 6.Your ceiling has an orange undertone; to tone down that orange, go for cooler undertones in your curtains and upholstery. Here I mean whatever colour you choose, grey for your sofa and a lighter colour for your curtains, look for cool undertones when choosing them. Cool undertones are blues, purples, and greens. When selecting a grey sofa, try to identify the undertone. Does this grey colour have blue, green or purple? 7. I also made a quick visualisation of your space. Please note that this only suggests the layout and the room's look. The furniture is only for guidance, and no advice is provided for the colour palette.
