Need help for my kitchen

I bought secondhand kitchen cabinets with wooden doors and solid oak tops. I haven't found someone to install it. Would they be difficult to fit myself?

No. for the bottoms if they have adjustable feet, it's super easy. Adjust the feet until everything is level. If they don't, use 2x4 wood and shims to build a level base to place the cabinets on. For the uppers, screw a level 2x4 leaderboard into the wall (in the studs!), put the uppers on it, screw them into the wall (make sure to hit the studs!), once they are all up, remove the leaderboard and install your backsplash. You can also look for a rail mount system at your hardware store where you put up the rail on the wall, screw brackets to the back of your uppers, and simply lift and click them in. Installing uppers is a lot easier with 2 or 3 people though :)

My 4.2 x 8m flat roof (fibre glass) extension with 3 rooflights and Alu bi-folds and side window & k rendered - plus electrics & plumbing/fitting of a downstairs bathroom & utility plus remodelling inside walls and replastering existing room and new room all came in at around £41k No floorings No heating panels if we want infra red vs using our old rads) No furniture ie no kitchen or bathroom Unpainted (prefer to do myself!) We are cutting down the utility to remove an external door cost, might skip the side kitchen window as will be light enough and taking out one roof light as two should be plenty as south facing. Could save by not having bifolds of course or going for white doors/windows instead of black/grey but some things I’m not willing to compromise on. Spent months looking at smaller options to reduce the size but came across more issues so stuck with the original. Firstly as suggested, a size would help and so would a floor plan as there might be ways of remodelling your internal layout so a smaller extension could work. I actually redesigned my friends house on an app and reconfigured their back room to extend out only by 2m but it gave them a much better space than they have already.

If you want a more integrated country look, have your kitchen professionally spray painted in a pale grey or white after rehanging the wall units so that they are all level. Replace the light pelmet to something plainer. The worktop around the sink has gone quite dark from the constant presence of water. Consider having all the tops replaced with oak to coordinate with your floor. Wood knobs or pewter handles will complete the cabinetry. Remove the tiles and replace with patchwork tiles to give you more colour. There are kitchen companies that can replace the doors, plinths and end panels etc thus completely changing the colour of your kitchen but using existing units. One I know if is Dream doors which my neighbour used to go from dark wood to cream and I cannot tell they are the old units. I like your kitchen, the layout seems good. I feel whats making it feel a bit dated is the amount of orangey pine or similar wood. Even changing the door knobs would help. If you wanted a greater change, a handleless slab kitchen in either a matching cream as the aga, or a grey might work? As an aside, changing the colour of the floor might help too.

Hi, What aspects of the kitchen is it that you dislike? (colour combination, style, just the units, etc) What sort of look are you trying to achieve, you don't have an ideas book for a kitchen so it would be useful to get an overview of your style please? The easy solution without ripping anything out would be to paint the cabinets/ walls and see what the kitchen looks like, maybe try some coloured accessories or add colour and textures through plants or rugs.
