Hi Annalie, what an amazing spare bedroom! I love the dark polished wood flooring and original fireplace. As for the bedside tables, (I'm aware this may seem a little safe!) but I would recommend keeping them the same colour wood as the bed or the flooring. I would also suggest keeping them a simple minimalistic design so as not to look too mismatched with the other strong features in the bedroom (fireplace, ceiling light). Hi - are you set on having something matching either side of the bed? We had a similar issue so we turned a white wooden crate on its side on one side of the bed and put some books in it and a lamp on it and then the other side we had a small percentage me bedside unit that I painted white and we used the same lamp on so it pulled them together. The crate was small enough to use on the tight side. Another option could be too build a shelf over the bed - I know the pic is showing a living room but the same principle applies I also like the look lights in the other pic that deliberately go for an exposed cable look and would mean they are not actually restoring on a unit but they are not for everyone.

Another option would be to have them made, I know that several garden centres/timber yards often have someone creative with wood who would love to make something up. I think it's looking good. Maybe see what you think after you've added lamps and cushions. If it was mine I might consider changing the handles on the chest to similar to pictured which I think will work nicely against the bedside tables. I might also look at a dipped vase for the chest to reference the colour blocking of the dressing table and I'd add tall faux stems. The vase is also Cox and Cox and they do a grey dipped one too which would look good
