Calling Bathroom Experts ! ..bathroom saga.
Comments (17)Update -- my plumber finally returned. Not sure what he did while here, but he told me again it wasn't working -- then he did some work on a radiator which had a small leak. We were having a long discussion about options on pumps, new showers, taps etc and I read out the installation guide and he tried it again, and suddenly it worked. It is bizarre as I don't know how many times i tried it previously. My friend who works in construction ALSO called earlier today and tried it several times to no avail. It must have been extremely stiff or perhaps the plumber realised some airlock whilst fixing the radiator since I think water pressure is much stronger since he went. Thanks for everyones help -- i learned lots on plumbing and a valuable lesson to take out the installation manuals myself and not trust that trades men know everything!!! I feel like celebrating!!...See MorePlease help me finish our bathroom
Comments (9)Hi. The bathroom is looking good! I'm also not convinced by the praticalities of the shelf as the bath also looks quite close to the ŵall so you may bang your head etc? I would paint the bath ŵall in a dark or rich colour and then add a really large frameless mirror. I'd add a wooden stool with a little tray for toiletries and either an orchid or small plant (similar to pic). I'd go for a round wooden mirror over the sink. Do you have a central light? Something in keeping with the spa type feel would look great particularly reflected by the mirror....See MoreHelp me find chrome legs for my bathroom sink unit
Comments (8)Thanks for the reply Matthew :) I have been looking on eBay, but I felt that most of the ones on there weren't nice enough to be on display all the time. I don't mind there being a plastic pad on the bottom to protect the floor, but most of them looked like a chrome version of what I currently have, which has a sort of screw in it because it's adjustable. That looks quite unattractive. The solid ones you've linked to look nice but I don't think they'd go with my bathroom because of the curves. How would you go about cutting that one down to size? I thought it might be a bit too complicated and look a bit off with the angles....See MoreHelp! What bathroom floor tiles could I use here?
Comments (11)Hi Dundrum, sorry I don’t think grey would go at all, It was more to show you the variety of styles in vinyl rather than the colour. Here’s some more appropriate, warm shades, creams and beiges as well as wood effect. If you have time, visit a flooring shop and you will see 100s of examples, that’s what I did. I did also choose a Moroccan patterned vinyl below, but I’m not sure the shade is quite right? I really like the first dark wood effect one....See Moreshelleyuk
