Hello. You may find elements of these different layouts useful for your space; all these bathrooms are about 2m square or smaller and in two cases the window is similarly placed to yours. It sounds like you've decided to keep a bath of some sort, and that is right for a family home. The freestanding model in the first image below is 1500mm long, so shorter than usual, but it is of thinner section and slightly wider so volume is actually increased with usable, internal length similar to standard. The shower is then formed as a wet room with hinged screen to protect most of the space as shown in the second image. In the following cases we fitted shower-baths - the first two are 1700mm long and the third is 1500mm, so you satisfy the need for a bath and the convenience of a "proper" shower. Each has underfloor heating to provide extra warmth (depending on the choice of towel warmer, this generally won't generate enough heat on its own for this size of space). By positioning the towel warmer at the end of the bath you use wall space efficiently; having a similar design in our own home, we can confirm that the towels do not get wet in this position. There are plenty of opportunities for additional storage that you could probably reproduce: for most of these shower-bath designs we created a partition behind the shower to accommodate the plumbing, create the shampoo niche and also provide floor to ceiling storage, wide enough for toilet rolls and as deep as the niche position - this is a large capacity, which you can see more clearly in the image below - you can have open shelves or, as here, we fitted piano hinged doors with shelves behind. You mention having the WC separate; just to note that there is usually space above a WC for more storage, as in the next image, and in the mirror cabinet above the basin. Hello Tom, There are many Bathrooms out there that are smaller than yours. You are right, you could definitely add something to it, redesign it and make it look bigger. Everything is possible! If I was you I would not remove the bath. Just as others said some people may feel more attracted to have a bath and not a shower only. After all you can still ad a showered and have 2 in 1. When you add a mirror and pick light colours you can definitely make your Bathroom look more spacious. Light installation is also a great idea to make your space look bigger. Our guest en-suite is pretty much the same size as your loo 2.60m x 1.40m. It was built as a wet room with underfloor heating, but we added shower doors after a while, as the toilet (seat) would take a long time to dry after showering. I love the layout, it's simple and efficient. As for colours, my preference was for black tiles on the floor and red glazed tiles in the shower to complement, however hubby thought it would look too Gothic and we ended up with some safe 'swimming pool' glass mosaic. There's also a slim towel warmer behind the door, not visible in the photo. As your space is wider, I think you could create an alcove like in the Grosvenor Riverside pic. Hello :) We have now plastered and painted first coat of white paint.. now deciding on the type of tiles.. we like the idea of Moroccon style tiles on the floor.. but as the bathroom is pretty narrow.. having a feature on the wall is a bit akward.. Our bathtub will be on the right and toilet under the window (same position as old layout) as all plumbing is already there. Unsure whether to have a concealed cistern toilet unit which can make the area look neater.. But I can't seem to find a good quality looking concealed unit (floor to under window measurement 98cm) width available is 50cm..or should i just go for a standard normal toilet. On the right after the bathtub we will have space for a double vanity sink unit.. opposite wall have a vertical stainless steel radiator... Unsure whether to go for a towel warmer or a vertical radiator? The bathroom will not have underfloor heating. Room dimensions are (length 335cm width 125cm) Any design ideas etc will be appreciated.
