Need ideas

Having a extension which leave me with a very narrow garden. As my sitting and dinning and bedroom french door opening in to this narrow space . What can I do to make it appear large and how can I get some greenery. I am going to loss the tree on the right in the picture as I want to make patio. All ideas are Welcome

Hard landscaping.
Have a raised border along the side with standard trees for privacy without a big footprint

Also flagstones or slabs laid on the diagonal trick the eye into thinking it is a wider space. Choose a light colour to reflect light. Buy furniture for the space that is the right size

Wow that is an amazing garden and view. A pergola is a good idea to add a feature but for a more serviceable structure you could opt for a patio roof or garden roof. These aluminium roofs contain fully automated louvres so you can control whether your relaxation space is sunny of shaded depending on the day. You could plant climbers along the building so when you're outside, you're surrounded by greenery. You could also 'bring the outside in' and have some plants in pots inside.

Strong lines that go from the house to the fence will make it look wider. You can use a different material or a different colour to create those lines and fill parts in with plants and parts with gravel for example. Creating a path that goes to the patio.

I have a garage wall on one side and what's to hide that with plants. Otherwise all I will see from my French door is brick wall .

Oh, okay. Well, the same principle applies: lines that run along the width will make it feel wider. So I could imagine you'd use large grey slabs for the patio with red brick lines running through it at regular or irregular intervals.

Is the garage wall yours? I'm thinking that you could create a living wall (will post example photo) interspace with large mirrors. If it's not yours, you could perhaps use fence poles with concrete mesh in between that you grow climbers on. I'm also quite partial to pergolas to add height, so your eye travels upwards and makes the visual journey through the garden longer which makes it feel larger too.
Even a simple structure of two vertical poles with one horizontal one does this. Three of those at a certain distance from each other could be good.

Okay, I did a quick sketch to hopefully give you some inspiration and an idea of what I was talking about.
Look at the pergola drawing (sorry, it's not a very good one) as if there are two simple pergola structures behind each other, both with verticals sort of marking the plant beds.
Hope it kind of makes clear what I mean :-)
Anyway, it's just an idea.
