Comments (6)In tiled areas I like to see tiled skirting,. However I would consider the style of the Front door and staircase and the door frames. If the over all look is contemporary tiled skirting will look great. Are you having wood or tiled skirting in the living and dining area. Comments (6)I actually like the patterned floor, so I'd say cement tiles or similar. Something with beige/sand in it that goes with the wood. Some blue for freshness. Orange or yellow for a bit of fun. Grey and white to go with the kitchen. Perhaps something darker to add some drama (in a good way). My semi-open kitchen has a back/white/grey/brown terrazzo floor that works really well with the pine floor next to it. I'd most certainly not continue the wood into the kitchen.
