Can you please advise on the manufacturer of this door? I'm looking for an exterior version similar to this! Thank you for your consideration.

Hi, I don't think it's particularly unusual to have white spacers but the door frames painted another colour. As I said if there's already internal doors in the same space I would look to match them as closely as possible. Don't let a trades person talk you into something you're not comfortable with. I've been there and regretted it!

Hi there, this can be a common problem with laminate doors! Replacement doors shouldn't be too difficult to obtain these days, as many companies offer this as a service. Whether your doors are standard sizes or made to measure, there is an excellent door manufacturer that makes doors just like yours (I think they are from the range Cambridge) by BA Components www.byba.co.uk There is a 'find a dealer' section, where you can find a tradesman in your area and obtain a quote. Generally quotes are no obligation! IF, there is any sort of issue colour matching- consider going slightly darker on the bottom like Dakar, Mussel or Cashmere. You can see an example of doors from the above company that we fitted on a de-laminated kitchen. The clients cupboards were all different sizes, however because the doors are made to measure- this wasn't an issue. Best of luck!

ED Thank you for your posts, As a quick guide when comparing the efficiency of steel doors to timber or UPVC doors , the U -value should be looked at, the lower it is the more energy efficient the door would be. For doors where more than half of the whole door area is glazed (patio), look for a U value of 1.8 W/(m²K), or better (lower). The U- value of our steel doors is 1.50 W/m2K The U – value for standard external wooden door would have a u-value of 2.5-3 W/m2K The U – value for UPVC doors will be between 0.9 – 1.5W However, our steel Windows and Doors got thinner and more delicate frame. Their slender lines appear to lose weight and give lightness to the frames, emphasizing the transparency of a facade. This elegance is difficult to match with the bulky profiles of alternative materials.
