I would like to know how often you have to purchase new filters for this machine as well as the number of filters that have to replace along with the cost of any replacement filters. Thank you, Kerry

Hello Kerry,

You will need to replace only the Hepa-filter every 4 or 6 months. The other filter can be watch by hand.

TABLE G2409.2 (308.2) REDUCTION OF CLEARANCES WITH SPECIFIED FORMS OF PROTECTION Should give you a good idea of what "should" be an acceptable means of reducing clearance. Think of it as a double boiler system. If you put a pan directly on the heat, you can burn things very easily. But, if you put one pan inside another with boiling water, then it keeps things from getting too hot.

Hi there. Looking for some related advice. We''re also ordering a new kitchen and are trying to decide on an extractor. The only issue is that the ceiling is about 3.25-3.5m high so everyone keeps telling us to have a bulkhead over the island as a ceiling mounted extractor will be inefficient otherwise (we're told a height of more than 1.5m above the hob is the maximum; ours will be about 2.2m...). We really don't want anything hanging from the ceiling over the kitchen island as it is in an open space and will ruin the whole open plan concept. Do you know of any flush ceiling mounted extractors with motors which are strong enough to work at that height? Currently looking at Falmec, Sirius and Frecan but would love to hear your suggestions. we live in a house with mvhr and we find it great generally and only open the windows in extreme heat to provide ventilation. it is great and the difference in general air quality is noticeable. we also installed a water tank to recycle rainwater using it to flush toilets. this was a huge expense and something that in hindsight we probably wouldnt have installed. the payback period is long. but it gives us an advantage as we have water for the garden during hose pipe bans.. good luck with your build! best Rowland

She is saying that the UK is currently having a consultation on this topic and to write to your representatives. " Please consider writing to the UK officials and letting them know about your concerns regarding the use of FRs in the UK furniture in order to meet ineffective furniture flammability standards. The UK Office for Product Safety and Standards is holding a consultation on its proposed approach to the fire safety of domestic upholstered furniture and furnishings. The deadline is October 24.
