Hello, could anyone help me with a bathroom design please?
Comments (6)If your bathroom size is 3m x 3m you will be able to easily put both, a shower and a bath tub. As to the toilet going on the wall where window is - it all really depends where the stack pipe is. Naturally it will be much easier for the toilet to be as close to the stack, but you can always box the pipe. Running it fully under the floor is not possible due to the size and can only be partial not to weaken the joists too much. I have drafted a quick layout for you with two options A and B. The difference is that option A has a smaller vanity unit, single washbasin and a mirror, while option B has a larger vanity unit, two washbasin and no mirror. Both layouts give you a decent size (1m x 1m) walk-in shower (wetroom) and a good size bath tub (2m x 0.9m). You can really shuffle things around here and for example have a bath tub by the window (upper corner opposite of the door, where toilet is now on the plan) and toilet next to it (pipe can be easily concealed under the tub). Possibly two washbasins with vanity unit and a mirror to the left of the toilet and a shower opposite to it with potential of having a washing machine (where the vanity unit is on option A). Let me know what you think and we can draft some more layouts....See Morei need help designing my room! can anyone help?
Comments (2)I would get a Victorian style iron bed and put it opposite the chimney breast. You need a wardrobe on the wall opposite the window, a chest of drawers on the left of the alcove and at least one bedside table. I would try to get Victorian mahogany furniture to match your idea book. I would try to gets neutral carpet or floorboards but a Turkish carpet will add to the Victorian oppulence. I would paint the walls in a flat paint from one of the manufacturers that does a heritage range. Full length curtains can be made to look more expensive the addition of fringing. Lastly you should add a chandelier in either brass, opal glass or crystals. A brass desk lamp by your bed will be useful....See MoreNeed help for kitchen and sitting area design....
Comments (33)Hi so this is what I had in mind. Although it ideal I think it would be too expensive for now to remove that lone cupboard. So an idea would be; 1. Paint the walls white 2. Paint the cupboards pale grey: http://www.farrow-ball.com/paint/Paint-For-Kitchen-Cupboards 3. Get nice oak laminate floor from Homebase or B&Q 4. It may cost between £200 and £300 to fit the floor with underlay. But totally worth it. 5. Cheap grey sofa (maybe not corner sofa) or second hand sofa, max those dimensions on the plan. I bought two cheap ones from Homebase for our back room and they're totally fine. 6. Farmhouse table with bench / Eiffel chairs 7. Tv bench and side table from ikea 8. If you keep the freestanding fridge paint it with chalkboard paint. http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/wrust-oleum-black---chalkboard-paint---750ml-125028 I'll post some photos of the sort of look I had in mind....See MorePlease can anyone help with a Design Plan for our Bedroom?
Comments (12)Hi Claire, Do the doors actually open inwards into the room? How about considering place the bed in the center of the room facing the doors? You would disguise the back of the bed with a thin console table which have some dressing style storage (jewelry etc) and can hold some tall flowers and candles to set the mood on entering. There's lots of ways you can add the luxury feel you are looking but this would create real impact and make the bed the real feature of the space. If budget allows I would hang lights from the ceiling ad beside lights and layer up on dressing for an even more luxurious feel. I have attached one of my clients bedroom design (single room re-design package) to show you the hanging lighting idea - if this isn't possible then a well placed small chandelier style light would have a great effect on the space. I hope this helps and I look forward to seeing the finished room - it will look stunning I am sure! all the best, Gina...See Morefunkyfreak
