I need help choosing a wallpaper for my 60's kitchen
Comments (11)Hi Caro, I have attached two images of wall paper that I think you compliment your kitchen. The green and blues in these wallpapers would harmonise with the existing titles and highlight the height of the room. From your ideas book it seems you like repeat patterns, both of these styles suggest a 60s feel whilst remaining contemporary. As you can see in the second photograph, the pattern and colours sit very well with the dark shiny worktop, similar to the one you mention putting in at a later date. The first wallpaper is affordable and ethically sourced. Let me know what you think...See MoreHelp - traditional bedroom paint / wallpaper ideas
Comments (3)Love it when people keep and incorporate original features. I think you have some awesome colours to work with there. I think you could use mustards, yellows and olive colours. But personally a really dark forest green would be amazing in the room. But i wouldn't know how to set it up, just as a feature wall? I don't know. You don't have to do a feature wall. Id love to know the furniture you have for the room....See MoreWallpapering around ceiling beams. Help!?
Comments (13)I would box in the pipework as that is going to be very difficult to paper around. I would also get yourself a proper scalpel from an art shop as these are best for cutting paper in situ - it will also be easier if you have paper where you can paste the wall rather than the paper. One issue you will have is around the edge of the fireplace as its such an irregular shape you will really struggle to get a clean edge. I would be inclined to agree with others who have said you will get a better finish if painted - if the wall was painted I would also polish the copper pipes to a high sheen if you don't plan to box them in, its an easy job and looks great when done....See MoreHELP URGENTLY SOUGHT & NEEDED. Comments (6)I am happy with the Laura Ashley soft dove grey on the walls. I want to keep the plain walls and the colour. I am awkward I know. Shoot me!!! It is the wall that is wall papered that I need help on. This is far too bland. I want something that stands out and reflects some light into a north facing living room. Any and all suggestions will be gratefully received. Thanks so much....See MoreMegan Fontenot
