Comments (11)We also have a north east facing kitchen, we used farrow and balls, Purbeck stone on our wall of units at the back of the kitchen (its warmer than using grey which can look cold in a north facing room), pelt on our peninsula and dimity on the walls, it give off pink hues during the day and is (nice) sort of creamy beige in the evening / on dull days. We took samples of our flooring and work top to a F&B shop/consultant and they were really helpful in confirming that the colours we wanted would work in our N/E facing room. I was pretty fixed on the the purbeck stone and pelt and it was they that suggested using dimity on the walls. Also as already suggested, tester pots and paint on large pieces of paper that you can move around the room is a good idea....See MoreWhat colour should I paint walls to match Howdens Cashmere Kitchen?
Comments (46)Cashmere popular. Mine being fitted this week. I have chosen real wood worktop and upstand. Plain Glass splashback behind hob and oxide emerald green floor tiles. Just for something different. Walks mmm not sure……something muted. Small kitchen but bright! Ideas… don’t hate me re floor 😳...See MoreKitchen Glass Splashback BAD installation??
Comments (12)Did they make a template of the wall? or take detailed measurements when the worktop, upstands and wall units had been fitted? I'd want it to go up to the underneath of the wall units as you say, then seal it with silicon to the wall units so no steam can get in. If its their measurements then its up to them to resolve to your satisfaction. Does the receipt show the actual glass measurements or the size it should of been to fit under the wall units. Personally i think the fitter could see it didn't fit properly thats why he was asking you if it was ok and you were happy with the position etc. Trouble is it will be a nightmare to remove the glass and it will damage the wall when they do it....See MoreAsh H
