Need help for my TV Room please!!
Comments (29)Good decision then! glass and stainless steel is how Iv decorated my own home. Think from the look of it your on the right road and can't wait to see the finished article! Only thing I would say is if possible when you do the colour scheme /dark walls=light furniture / light walls =dark furniture and may help renting furniture to get an idea of what it will look like in the room before deciding, if you have time? Nothing worse than ending up with that sofa you hate! You have good taste and think the rooms will look great!...See MoreNeed help for my small living/dining room with awkward layout
Comments (10)Hi. It's hard to tell if this will work as I can't tell the door width but what if you were to build a ŵall to wall bookcase on the desk ŵall incorporating both the tv and radiator? Ignore the design of this one, was just showing a pic of one against a window, You may need to widen the pillar by the dining room entrance slightly. Perhaps ammonite by F&B for the ŵalls with a floor that picks up one of the tones in the table. I'd also paint the coving in the ammonite and a darker shade of grey for the bookcase. Have a 6ft sofa (allowing for side table and lamp) opposite the bookcase (not against the ŵall) with a chair angled in front of the bookcase and perhaps go for an upholstered stool on legs as per your inspiration pic. You could use Romans on the windows, maybe in a vertical stripe and then use geo patterns for the cushions. Re lights I'd add ŵall lights to the bookcase and a flush for the living room, preferably just 7 inches high. You can afford to hang something lower over the dining table. Are you keeping the tall cabinet? I think your current table will look lovely with some upholstered chairs...See MoreHelp with my living room
Comments (19)Firstly, your living room looks amazing!! I think that it does need something else though. Nesting tables/side tables would be great. Try something like these? These would look great as they'd match your current colour scheme. These lightly gold coloured nesting tables would look elegant and compliment your blush/neutral coloured sofas and table lamp. Also, might be good to add some extra accessories that are a little different such as - Coral pieces always add a unique touch to any home and these would definitely match your colour scheme perfectly. Glass squat jars are extremely popular at the moment, with this smoked one you could leave it empty or fill. If you're looking for a mirror, these would look lovely above your fireplace as theyre elegant and charming but also unusual which will attract attention to the centre which would hopefully help even out. These items are all available on our website :) Hope this helps you. Comments (23)Ta da! Hope you can see the photo ok, had to use the flash (click to enlarge). Tried to keep things fairly simple without compromising on the lawn space and just bear in mind the sketches aren’t to scale. From what you say I think you’ll definitely be wanting a path to link the different areas together but what materials you use for the path is entirely up to you. Hopefully the sketches are self explanatory but I’ll give a little more info. Sketch 1, I added a water feature on the left but you could put anything here, it just breaks up the border a bit. Sketch 2, I brought the pergola forward a bit so it’s not so shoved up the corner. I think this will more pleasing especially as you’d have room for planting behind. In both 1 and 2 the shed is positioned widthways as again I think this would look more pleasing. Sketch 3 is going from Jonathan’s idea of using a curve. Pergola would have to be custom made tho. Used a corner shed and circle patio in bottom left is mainly for decorative purposes. Sketch 4 I’ve swapped things about and created a little yard area for shed on the left which is surrounded by trellis. This might be a great way to disguise unsightly things like compost bin etc. The feature could be anything like a little water fountain, statue or bird bath. Anyway hopes this gives you some inspiration and feel free to plan things how you’d like them and I’m pretty sure Sonia can advise on planting suggestions 🙂. Love 💕 your extension btw....See MoreJuliet Docherty
