The trouble with wall lights, are they're a bit static, in the wall, I hope they dont change the size or type of bed in the future. We have recently installed ceiling mounted lights in our sons bedroom, which can be moved easily enough, but then are still pretty fixed as they have individual dimmer switches at the side of the bed (as well as controlled at the doorway gang) so all the same static issue regardless that I chose lights with adjustable pivots or not. When I go for making one of the more master suites, I'm going to go with either a shelf above the bed, or other custom headboard which can be changed easier. In another room, I have a high bed and didnt want to be stuck with permanent electric layout dictating the room, so went for very tall buffet lamps... they work great alongside the enormous headboard. Probably not much help, but it's all I have, I'm sure you'll get some glossy designer home inspiration on houzz :)

As promised, here is the response received just now from the supplier. I await your comments with interest- Hi, Good day to you. Our suppliers have come back to us with the following comments"Firstly sorry for the delay in replying to your email, we have recently returned from our 2 week Summer Shutdown…. With reference to your email regarding the WN206 Nest of Tables, unfortunately this will happen because the furniture is manufactured from Oak wood and when the timber oxidises with the natural light the furniture will mellow and become darker, so if this area has not been exposed it will remain the original colour from purchase. We do not stain our furniture only apply a 5% durable dull laquer sheen. We could offer to sand back the table top and repolish, but you would need to collect the item from the customer and deliver to our factory in Newton le Willows, however this would be chargeable to yourselves. Please advise on how you would like to proceed? Regards,
