It's not a paint color, but rather an integral-color stucco.

Hi I have had endless issues on this matter. How we in the trade can have colour swatches with 1000's of colours with minimal difference between them and then be told mixing is within a tolerance of (as I was told) 4% is a laugh. I always check fter mixing. Put a finger tip's worth of paint on the shade card and then wait for it to dray before accepting the paint. Never use a firm with a manual mixer, they ceratinly can't get the match pots right due to minute quantities of stain required, also driver error can is a problem due to the tiny increments involved on the measure gauge. Even the automatic ones get it wrong. And don't even start me on colour scanning... We too have turned to Valspar its lovely paint.

I think the trouble will be with the Front door a different colour to the shutters and the rest of the woodwork. To my mind they all have to match. So the front door, shutters, windows, garage door should all be the same for the sake of unity and a seemless finish. I'd go dark grey for the bulk of it to match the dark grey in some of the bricks, with a slightly lighter ( a couple of shades ) for everything else. I'd remove the large conifer from the right of the front door and then soften the result with planting.

Thanks so much for responding, I love greeny/grey colours but our next door neighbour has their front door that colour so didn’t want to appear to be copying. Grey might be nice but do you think it will go with the existing creamy colour of the render or will it look a bit odd? We are due to repaint it anyway, so could change the colour of the render? Remember to look at the aspect of the room, before going for a strong teal colour. It’s extraordinary how different the colours look, depending on whether the room faces north, south, east, or west. And don’t forget nighttime with electric lighting. Also, if your sofa is a deep teal, you could choose a much paler aqua/greeny blue, for your feature walls, and the other walls maybe an even paler shade than those, if your room is light. On the other hand, if the room is a bit gloomy, you could use a contrasting and complementary colour for the feature walls, such as a deep gold, a warm peach, or apricot, or even a warm soft pink (similar, maybe, to F&B’s Setting Plaster or Pink Ground). Depends upon what colours you actually like, as you have to live with it. Teal is basically a blue green, so if not using teal and its paler tones for walls, look for colours that are warm, on the opposite side of the colour wheel.
