Comments (4)I would go to a reclamation yard and look at their 50s front doors/ windows. We have the same problem... All pvc windows/ door in our new house! Which I hate! We have bought a 30s original front door on eBay; the plan is to replace first front door and square pvc window next to it to original wooden ones. Just changing these 2 only should already put charm back to the house for not too much expense !! The plumber attached 2 hoses together to make it extra long so now the dog can get washed outside and run about and shake his coat as much as he wants and no extra cleaning for me!...See MoreHi everyone. Comments (21)I'm glad you like my tweaking. It's not worth worrying too much about the utility room at this point, better to sweat the big stuff. Seeing as this project is still a couple/few years away I now have enough to juggle it all around in my head in the mean time, and much will depend on the budget we have available at that time. I think we can let it lie at this point for now, thanks to everyone for your thoughts and opinions. The only thing I would still really like to know; is if anyone has a recommendation for (free or good value) software that will make it easier to make plans and 3d CGI models.
