Window dressing for huge window right up against wall
Comments (11)There's another small one on the far end but this is the main radiator. Hmmm it's really interesting that your room is cosy as i've gone to trusty google and can't find anyone who says that radiators don't block the heat. It seems to be a big no no. I'm just so torn between function and fashion. I know it sounds silly. I think part of the problem is it is such a huge window that i would need more than one blind which would look a little odd. Then it isn't a usual height window in that it's quite close to the floor....See MoreHuge Driveway, Huge cost!?
Comments (6)I would get quotes for cost, labour differs hugely depending on where you live. I must admit I like gravel if that is an option. If im honest though I would not concrete over all of that, I think it would detract hugely from the house. Could you not just have a drive on the left as it would fit at least 3 cars? Maybe have a path to the door, lawn and a few large shrubs/trees to keep maintenance low. I'm not a big fan but if you really don't want to do any gardening then have a look at artificial turf, some of them are quite realistic although I'm not entirely convinced they're maintenance free! Alternatively pay a retired person to do an hour or 2 each week when the lawn needs cutting...See MoreHow to decorate a sun room with off white tile and white walls.

Comments (4)Hi Mary, I can understand your design dilemma. In a small space like a stairway, it usually gets a bit tricky to decorate and not feel overdone. There are different ways to go about dressing up the large wall. I would use either a large rectangular mirror or a set of five mirrors that would cover a decent amount of area on the empty wall , at the same time reflecting the beautiful gallery wall. I would also use open shelving to place small plants and other home accessories, with a slim sideboard underneath if there's enough space as to not block the flow in the space. Attaching pictures for some ideas. Hope it helps. Neha www.expressionbydesign.co.uk...See MoreEmma Lamb
